About

The Vision Behind the Name

Soft Tissue Society was created with a simple belief: when we take care of the soft tissue that drives our movement, we unlock the durability, mobility, and performance our bodies are capable of. So many limitations we label as “normal” are actually rooted in the muscular system – and they’re often preventable or fixable with the right approach.

Restoring and maintaining soft tissue health doesn’t just change how you feel in daily life; it changes how you train, compete, and move through the world.

Erin McCarthy, LMT

Clinical Massage Therapist & Founder of Soft Tissue Society

Erin McCarthy is a clinical massage therapist specializing in sports-focused bodywork for high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, as well as individuals committed to an active lifestyle. Her work centers on the assessment and treatment of sports-related injuries, movement overload, and performance-limiting restrictions. Her approach blends deep tissue, myofascial release, cupping, and IASTM to reduce soft tissue restrictions, support efficient movement, and enhance overall performance.

With a lifelong background in dance, cheer, and boxing - and continued advanced training in sports injury treatment - Erin brings a sharp understanding of biomechanics and athletic demands into every session. She integrates personalized mobility and recovery strategies so clients leave with practical tools that support longevity outside the treatment room.

Erin’s work bridges the gap between hands-on recovery and real-world performance, giving athletes a place to rebuild, recharge, and return to the activities they love feeling stronger, more mobile, and more confident in their bodies.

When she’s not in the treatment room, you’ll find Erin training, moving, or learning—always committed to the same mobility and recovery practices she teaches her clients.
